California law and regulation requires that regional centers display on their Web sites information about the dollar value of services they purchase for clients. These data (called "purchase of service" or "POS" data) must be reported separately by clients' ethnic/racial group, langauge and diagnosis.
The Roberta Happe Memorial Internship Fund
Roberta Happe
The Roberta Happe Memorial Internship Fund supports an internship providing opportunities for students of promise from non-traditional majors to gain knowledge and experience in the work we do as a Lanterman community, while at the same time developing and honing skills marketable in any profession.
As interns complete their experience at Lanterman and move into their careers, this internship also helps build a volunteer and donor base of knowledgeable people who may continue to participate in, and advocate for, the regional center system.
The internship is a living memorial to the enduring impact one individual can have, and a source of new people to carry on the spirit of Lanterman Regional Center. It was started by Happe’s family and friends as a tribute to a remarkable young woman. It continues through the generosity of community donors who share our commitment to the value of spirit.
