Lanterman Regional Center’s Community Services unit issues a Request for Proposals (RFP) when there is a need to develop specific homes, programs or specialized services for clients. Current RFPs can be downloaded from this page. RFPs may or may not have start-up funds available.
Development and Implementation of a Parent Education Program on Language Development in Young Children
Frank D. Lanterman Regional Center (FDLRC) is accepting proposals from qualified applicants wishing to develop and deliver a parent education program targeting language development in children age birth to three years. Training will be provided to parents of children eligible to receive services under the regional center’s newly instituted Prevention Program for children with developmental delay who do not satisfy the criteria for eligibility under the Early Start Program.Applications must be received no later than 3 p.m. on Monday, November 30, 2009. Late or incomplete applications will not be reviewed.

Community Placement Plan RFPs
RFPs for the Community Placement Plan (the Center’s plan to deinstitutionalize clients) are generally issued in the fall and will be posted here and can be downloaded from this page. These RFPs generally have start-up funds available.
Development of New Resources for Community Living for Adults with Developmental Disabilities
Lanterman Regional Center is seeking proposals for the development of specialized resources to fulfill the Regional Center’s Community Placement Plan (CPP). The goal of the CPP is to reduce the number of regional center clients who live at state developmental centers by relocating them into community living arrangements that are equipped to sustain their long-term success.Proposals must be received by Lanterman by 4 p.m. on Friday, November 13, 2009. Proposals received after 4 p.m. on November 13 will not be reviewed. Proposals that fail to adhere to application guidelines will be disqualified. No proposals will be returned.
All eventual service sites must be licensed by the California Department of Social Services, Community Care Licensing Division and located within the Lanterman catchment areas of Burbank, Hollywood, Los Angeles/Wilshire, Glendale, or Pasadena. Funding is available to assist the development of highly specialized residential resources for persons identified on the regional center’s Community Placement Plan.
