Lanterman Regional Center strives to deliver a quality of service and support that is both innovative and comprehensive. Many of these services and supports go beyond what we receive funding for from the state and federal governments. In order to ensure that these services continue we must independently raise the necessary money.

Many of the programs that you read about in our newsletter are funded by grants that we have applied for, including the Touchpoints™ project and the Mentors & Technology program. However, Lanterman has several of its own funds through which clients and their families can receive assistance in a time of need and particpate in holiday celebrations. Lanterman also offers an intership opportunity in memory of Robert Happe.

Donate via Cars 4 Causes
Make a tax deductible donation to Lanterman by donating your car to Cars 4 Causes. Cars 4 Causes has streamlined the donation process into four easy steps. In the first step, the donor submits a donation form that provides general information on the vehicle that will be donted, and selects the charity of their choice. Cars 4 Causes accepts most intact vehicles whether they are running or not, and does not require a SMOG certificate. The organization also tows all vehicles at no charge to the donor, completes all DMV paperwork, and prepares the vehicle for sale by completing minor repairs, maintenance and detailing. Cars 4 Causes provides donors with a Kelly Blue Book evaluation to aid in the determination of the fair market value of the vehicle as well as a donation receipt that can be used for tax purposes. The organization then sells the vehicle through advertisements, retail lots, eBay and live auctions in order to get the highest possible price.
