Lanterman Regional Center will be hosting two public meetings on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, one in Spanish at 10 a.m. and one in English at 7 p.m., at Lanterman. During the meetings the disparity data released in a report specific to Lanterman Regional Center will be reviewed and discussed.

This data is being collected and reported as part of a newly enacted statute (Welfare & Institutions Code, §4519.5) that requires the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) and regional centers to annually compile data relating to purchase of service authorization, utilization and expenditure, and report with respect to several indicators including age, race, language and disability. Going forward, this data will be compiled and reported annually by March 31, 2013 with a public meeting held within three months of the report's release.
