Performing Arts Studio West Celebrates 15th Anniversary with Fundraiser Musical “Recovered” on May 3

Performing Arts Studio West will celebrate its 15th anniversary this year by producing a one-night musical extravaganza fund raiser on Friday, May 3 at the beautiful 500 seat James R. Armstrong Theater located at 3330 Civic Center Drive, Torrance, CA 90503. The new show is called "Recovered," a musical and theatrical experience featuring freshly realized versions of popular rock and pop songs performed by singers, dancers and actors with developmental disabilities, including the talents of Lanterman clients Danielle Dejean and August McAdoo (vocalists), Isaac Leyva and Michael Rice (actors), and Bahareh Saviss (dancer).

The performance will feature innovative versions of music by Lady Gaga, The Ting Tings, Crosby Stills & Nash, Radiohead, The Doors, Annie Lennox, The Beatles, Edie Brickell, The Police, Janis Joplin, Led Zeppelin, Duran Duran, The Animals, and Sly and the Family Stone. Among the songs to be performed LIVE are People Are Strange, Creep, Dazed and Confused, Please Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood, Ordinary World, Piece of My Heart and Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin).

Tickets are a tax deductible donation of $25. This includes a studio recorded CD of the music performed at the show. For tickets call 310.674.1346, x. 202.
