Nutrition, Fitness and Diabetes Management

This training will focus on how day program and residential providers can help clients maintain a healthy lifestyle in the new year through diet and exercise using the "Get Fit!" program. Aimed at improving health and reducing the risks of developing chronic health problems such as diabetes and obesity, the "Get Fit" program provides education on healthy lifestyles for school age and adult clients and their service providers. The training will also include what providers should know about diabetic screening and routine medical follow-up.
