Assisting people with developmental disabilities to find meaningful employment in the general workforce can be daunting. This online and in-person series will explore why a regular job in the community is a priority. Concrete ideas for how the current day support system can increase employment outcomes will be offered. The goal of the series is to increase awareness about employment, and to provide a discussion forum for families, individuals, organizations and professionals in the field.

These presentations will give you a chance to share new ideas and discuss challenges related to community employment. Host sites, such as California's network of Regional Centers (www.arcanet.org), are volunteering space, staff, and resources to particpants in their area. These local gatherings will occur in conjunction with the online presentations and will be a time for everyone to discuss questions related to the material.

Class size is limited so please register with Ronna Kajikawa at 213.252.4976 or training@lanterman.org.
